Perhaps ther most popular model, the EZDeluxe was designed from the outset to suit the needs of most American homes, and is capable of supplying a constant supply of hot water to a home with 1 or 2 bathrooms. This water heater includes a Direct Vent Flue Pipe Kit. It delivers 3.4 gallons per minute of consistent and continuous hot water, and although impossible to do a direct comparison, makes an ideal replacement for a 40-60 gallon storage tank water heater, and is comparably priced. The compact size and high output are only possible thanks to an advanced induction process, which is called direct vent. This feature utilizes a sealed dual-chamber forced air intake and exhaust pipe (flue). This very special exhaust, which is an integral part of the design, and comes included in the purchase price is a sealed system that runs the hot exhaust horizontally through a side wall, leaving the outer chamber as a cold air intake, thus the flue serves two distinct purposes. The first is that even though the combustion process is extremely powerful, especially under high load conditions, the outer chamber intake is constantly cooling the exhaust, so exhaust temperatures are kept to very moderate levels. The second and no less useful feature is that as the intake and exhaust vent are outside none of your climate controlled ambient air is used or disturbed, which means even more energy saving when compared with a more traditional natural draft (like on your storage tank hot water heater) combustion process.
