I bought this from Amazon when they still had it in stock. When I took it out of the box, I was intially disappointed because this item is not cheap even on "sale," so I expected "art glass" to be real stained glass, not that thick resin/plastic type stuff. This light is definitely the resin/plastic type, but of a good quality. (If you buy one, tap it with your finger and you will know what I mean.) I was also initially disappointed that the bottom bowl was a brown/beige, not white/cream as shown in the photo. I was prepared for color variations in the decorative border, but not the one-pice solid color bowl. However, once it was installed, my disappointment faded. It looks really nice, and the color of the bowl blends well with the colors in my home. And, when you turn it on, the bowl has the white/cream look shown in the photo. Overall, it is large, solid, well-made and looks fabulous. I am very happy with it after all.
