The lighting is as bright as the eight 40 watt bulbs fixture that was replaced. The old fixture gave a lot of heat when all the bulbs were illuminated, this fixture uses two 32 watt florescent bulbs which gives close to no heat from lighting. I'm glad I selected this fixture. When the light fixture arrived one of the ends panel was broken. The manufacturer had no problem in sending a replacement right away. However, in anticipation of the replacement may have the same issue I waited to return the original fixture until the arrival of the replacement. Sure enough the replacement also had an end broken, so I took the one good end panel from the original fixture to place the broken on the replacement. So if the same scenario occurs, I suggest to follow the example. This fixture I would recommend to everyone who has a four feet lighting fixture needing replace.
