The crimper came in a case with tools for solar panels.However,I work in electronics and crimping with a manual crimper is a hassle.You have to press LARGE amounts of pressure and still your crimp will not be spot on perfect.With this tool you can easily crimp a 12awg wire no problem into a perfect mold.(NOTE:I purchased this off a estate sale and I got it for 7 bucks!You may have to get a separate die in order to crimp insulated/non-insulated wire).For my case, mine came with the specific dies.All in all, this tool is a excellent crimper and will crimp your wires well 100% of the time with its "perfect crimp mechanism".To use it, simply press the handles until they open, put your terminal and your wire in, and press until the mechanism releases your wire.The German quality makes this tool a excellent tool to have for it feels sturdy enough to last for life.
