Bought this product locally for a shower redo in my home. The quality is superior to what is available at the big box "in store" products. Install was relatively easy just as the instructions imply, I dry fit it first, nailed some thin composite shims to the subfloor to ensure that it was perfectly level, then mixed up some Structolite to bed the base for stability and set the base firmly pushing down until the support ribs underneath contacted the subfloor and shims on the low end. Rechecked level fr/rr and l/r and let set for 24 hrs. Connecting the drain is easy using the provided ribbed O-ring. In my case the existing drain plumbing did not need replacement so a little clean up with OOO steel wool on the PVC helped ensure a leak free seal. The shower walls were rebulit and retiled and have been in use for several months now. I am very satisfied with this product from the way it was packaged, clear instructions, solid base with no flex as installed, and the pebble finish on the floor provides a slip resistant surface that stays clean. From what I can tell so far the surface seems pretty scratch, scuff and impact resistant( dropped sharp, heavy object during construction- not a scratch). I plan on redo-ing another bathroom soon and will definttely use Swanstone SS series again.
