This is a very durable mailbox that looks and feels quite solid.

The large lid protects your mail from the elements. When you flip it up it stays up, which is convenient. And when you flip it down it has pads so that it doesn't clang, it closes pretty quietly. Good features for a heavy lid.

Looks are obviously a matter of taste but this is a design that will work well for both traditional and more contemporary homes.

I got the lockable insert, but I may remove it. Mail theft isn't a huge problem in my neighborhood, and it is easier to get magazines in and out without the insert.

The only downside of this mailbox is that it doesn't provide a way to flag mail for pickup. It's surprising that a mailbox would lack that feature in the 21st century, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
