Bertazzoni X304GGVX Professional 30 Pro-Style Gas Range Review

I got this range after several months of shopping around. I decided on the Bertazzoni because it offered features and looks of more expensive ranges on the market. Plus this is a discontinued model and the prices are coming down fast. Got mine online for $2300 new.

The Pros
- very well built. 100% stainless steel all the way around, not just the front like on cheaper american ranges. 1 piece top which makes it easy to clean. The burners are tremendous! You can fine tune how low the lowest setting is. There is an adjustable screw behind the knob, so you can set supper low simmer on each burner. Oven glass is removable for easy cleaning. Plenty of storage space on the bottom drawer. Burners have a heat sensor which automatically shuts off the gas if the flame goes out. This is a great safety feature!

The Cons
- If you bake a lot this may bother you. The oven blows air through the front of the range. I presume this is to keep the oven at a more constant temp? Not sure why this feature is there, but it will heat up your kitchen. Great for winter, but not so much for Texas summers. Oven is also on the small side. Will fit a turkey, but not a turkey and another dish. It is a positive if you think of less space to heat up. This really isn't a con, but the burner takes a couple of lightings to get used to it. Because of the safety heat sensors, they require that you hold the ignitor for 2 to 3 seconds when lighting. You get used to it very quickly, so not much of a con considering it is a great safety feature.

Bottom line, if you cook a lot you are going to just love this stove. It is a dream to cook with it. If you bake a lot, perhaps not so much. Unless you live in Alaska :) I gave it a 4 star because I am not a baker.
