We installed this tub and wall surround 10 months ago. At the time I was disappointed that there weren't many online reviews for it, but the price and quality seemed good so we rolled the dice. I couldn't be happier. The Vikrell material is very sturdy and does not flex once in place. I did have to use a mortar bed to level my floor, but it wasn't nearly as hard I thought it would be. The tub is very light, which I greatly appreciated compared to the cast iron tub we replaced. The wall surround was easy to install, and has been very easy to keep clean. Installation was straight-forward. My only deviation from the instructions was the removal of the stainless snap-clips for the wall panels. The instructions say to remove them until you have everything aligned and shimmed, and then put them back in place for final assembly. If your install is like mine, I had to remove and reinstall the panels several times to get the alignment right. If you don't remove the snap-clips, I can't see how you would ever separate the panel from the tub again. I never put the clips back on for final assembly, and I've had no problems. All in all, I really like this tub. It is the only tub in our house, and it gets used several times each day. We have young kids who like to play with bath toys, and we've had no chips, scratches, stains, etc. Also, the floor has a slight texture to it that really keeps it from getting slippery. Yet, the texture is shallow enough the it doesn't get grungy. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely buy this same set-up.
