I really love the lamp it has a nice traditional feel circa 1900 and has some parts that are glass. The light shines through it nicely without noticing the bulbs inside. Some pieces of the "glass" are plastic, but it is hard to tell unless you tap it with your finger (this is probably a good thing since it would have been VERY heavy otherwise, especially for hanging).

One problem I do have is that when you look at it on edge, you see the imperfections such as non-straight lines where the rectangular pieces connect. That said, the only way I could have gotten better would have been to spend twice as much I did on this (about $1,500 instead of $750). I don't really have any regrets. I hope this review is helpful.
